Why did my biometric login stop working and app prompts for Change Device after updating to the latest app?
If you have recently updated your Android OS to Version 10 or higher, you might experience the following on your CIMB Bank PH app:
1) Biometric login temporarily disabled
2) Change Device is prompted upon login using username & password
Rest assured, that this is a normal occurrence due to the recent policy change by Google on Android 10. Follow the steps below to re-enable the biometric login feature:
1. Proceed to login using your username and password
2. Tap on Change Device when prompted
3. Enter the one-time Security Code that is sent to your registered email address
Once done, you'll be able to access your account/s and re-enable biometric login again!
If you've forgotten your username and password, just tap on the 'Forgot?' button on the CIMB Bank PH app login page and follow the instructions.
Remember: You can only recover your username and password on the app itself. Do not submit your login credentials and other sensitive personal information such as MPIN and One-Time-Password (OTP) to unknown websites!
