Eligibility and How to Qualify​

  • Promo runs from June 1 to June 30, 2025​.​

  • To qualify for the boosted interest rates, Customer must meet the promo conditions and increase their total deposit Average Daily Balance (ADB) with the Bank (including UpSave, GSave, Fast Plus, LazSave and MaxSave) during the Campaign Period vs. the previous month.​

  • However, rewards will only be credited based on the ADB growth of the Customer’s GSave and/or UpSave accounts, as applicable.​​

  • Customers must have at least one active and unblocked GSave and/or UpSave account to participate. Other deposit accounts (e.g., LazSave) are not eligible for reward computation.​​

  • The Reward/s earned will be credited to the Customer’s GSave and/or UpSave proportionately depending on the ADB of each account within 14 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after the end of the Campaign Period.

  • All of the additional promo interest rewards are inclusive of other interest rate campaigns.​​

Earn 3.0% p.a. interest on all your balances this month – no cap!​​

  • Earn 3.0% p.a. on Customer’s existing ADB with no cap. ​​

  • This is applicable to all deposit customers of GSave and/or UpSave accounts—new and existing deposit customers. Fast Plus and LazSave accounts are not eligible. ​​

  • 3.0% p.a. is inclusive of the regular base rate of 2.5% p.a. for UpSave and 2.6% p.a. for GSave Accounts and other promo/s. ​​

  • For Customers who have multiple GSave and UpSave accounts with CIMB Bank PH, the special interest reward will be computed based on the qualifying month’s Total ADB (for GSave and UpSave only) with the Bank.​​

Earn +1.0% p.a. interest by growing your Total Average Daily Balance by at least PHP 1,000​

  • New to Bank Customers: Customer must maintain his/her Total ADB by at least PHP 1,000 during the month in which they open their account. The ADB calculation for New to Bank Customers will be computed from the account open date and divided by the total number of days from account open date in the qualifying month.​

  • Existing to Bank Customers: Customer must grow his/her Total ADB by at least PHP 1,000 compared to the previous month’s Total ADB. ​​

  • The additional 1.0% p.a. interest rate is applicable to the first PHP 100,000 ADB growth on the GSave and/or UpSave from the previous month only, and inclusive of other promo/s.​

  • Customers whose Total ADB (inclusive of all savings, current, and time deposits) with the Bank is lower than the previous month's balance will not be eligible for the additional interest rate.​​

  • For customers who have multiple GSave and UpSave accounts with CIMB Bank PH, the special interest reward will be computed based on the qualifying month’s Total ADB growth of customer’s GSave and/or UpSave account in a month.​​

  • ADB growth in a qualifying month must be performed via customer-initiated cash in transaction via InstaPay, PESONet, Dragon Pay, GCash, Remittance (via RIA and Remitly) and Over-the-counter Banks. Transfers within account of customer or within CIMB Bank PH accounts are not considered as ADB Growth. Any delays in cash in posting of funds in a month is not counted, regardless of the cause of the delay.

Earn +1.5% p.a. interest by growing your Total Average Daily Balance by at least PHP 5,000​

  • New to Bank Customers: Customer must maintain his/her Total ADB by at least PHP 5,000 during the month in which they open their account. The ADB calculation for New to Bank Customers will be computed from the account open date and divided by the total number of days from account open date in the qualifying month.​

  • Existing to Bank Customers: Customer must grow his/her Total ADB by at least PHP 5,000 compared to the previous month’s Total ADB. ​​

  • The additional 1.5% p.a. interest rate is applicable to the first PHP 100,000 ADB growth on the GSave and/or UpSave from the previous month only, and inclusive of other promo/s.​

  • Customers whose Total ADB (inclusive of all savings, current, and time deposits) with the Bank is lower than the previous month's balance will not be eligible for the additional interest rate.​​

  • For customers who have multiple GSave and UpSave accounts with CIMB Bank PH, the special interest reward will be computed based on the qualifying month’s Total ADB growth of customer’s GSave and/or UpSave account in a month.​​

  • Existing to Bank Customers: Customer must grow his/her Total ADB by at least PHP 10,000 compared to the previous month’s Total ADB. ​

  • ​The additional 2.0% p.a. interest rate is applicable to the first PHP 100,000 ADB growth on the GSave and/or UpSave from the previous month only, and inclusive of other promo/s.​

How to Compute for your Interest Earnings

Here's how you can compute for your additional interest earnings:

 
Scenario 1:

 

Customer has no previous account/s with CIMB Bank PH and opens a GSave Account as a New to Bank Customer on June 15, 2025. On June 15, 2025, customer deposited to his/her GSave Account via customer-initiated transaction using the valid cash in channels. The Total ADB for the month of June is PHP 18,000 and have fulfilled the conditions stated below. Customer is qualified for 3.0% p.a. applicable to Total ADB and (1.0% + 1.5% +2.0%) p.a. interest promo applicable to the total ADB growth (up to PHP100,000) in a month.

Scenario 2:

 

Customer is an existing CIMB Bank PH UpSave Account holder since June 03, 2022. Customer becomes eligible for the promo because he/she grew his/her Total ADB across all deposit products compared to the previous month. On May 2025, Customer had a PHP 20,000 ADB. On June 2025, Customer increased his/her Total ADB via customer-initiated transaction on the same month compared from the previous month’s Total ADB using the valid cash-in channels. The Customer is now eligible for the additional interest rates. The Total ADB growth for the customer’s UpSave account compared to the previous month is PHP 180,000 and have fulfilled the conditions stated below. Customer is qualified for 3.0% p.a. applicable to total ADB and (1.0% + 1.5%+ 2.0% + 2.5%) p.a. interest promo on the first PHP 100,000 ADB growth for the month.​

Scenario 1:

 

Customer’s Total ADB across all deposit accounts has increased in June 2025 compared to May 2025. Therefore, Customer is eligible for the additional promo interest rates. Since rewards will only be credited based on the Customer’s GSave and UpSave ADB growth, customer will receive the 3.0% p.a. base rate (applies to all balances no cap and condition) and the additional 4.5% p.a. interest from the promo (+1.0% +1.5% +2.0%) on his/her GSave and UpSave accounts​.

Since rewards will only be credited based on the Customer’s GSave and UpSave ADB growth, customer will receive the 3.0% p.a. base rate (applies to GSave and UpSave balances no cap and condition) and the additional 7% p.a. interest from the promo (+1.0% +1.5% +2.0%, +2.5%) on his/her first PHP 100,000 ADB growth across GSave and UpSave accounts​.​

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I compute for my monthly interest?

To compute for the interest earned for your account:  ​
 ​
Net Interest Earned = ADB x Time Period x Interest Rate less 20% withholding tax.​

​

Average Daily Balance (ADB) = Sum of your end of day balance, divided by the number of eligible days for the month.​

Interest Rate = Interest rate applicable based on the promo you qualified for.​

Time Period = Total number of eligible days for the month, divided by 360 days.​

Do I need to perform transactions to be eligible for the promo?

No, you are automatically eligible for the 3.0% p.a. interest as long as you have an active and unblocked GSave and/or UpSave account.

 

To earn additional interest on your savings, you must grow your Total Average Daily Balance (ADB) across all your CIMB Bank PH deposit accounts (e.g., UpSave, GSave, Fast Plus, LazSave, MaxSave) during the Campaign Period. Rewards will, however, only be credited based on the ADB growth of your GSave and/or UpSave accounts, as applicable. Deposits must be made through valid cash-in channels.

Can I qualify for multiple promo rates?

Yes, definitely! ​​

  • All eligible customers may earn up to 10% p.a. (3.0%, +1.0%, +1.5%, +2.0%, +2.5%) interest rate.
  • Note: Additional interest rate rewards is only applicable for your first PHP 100,000 ADB growth on GSave and/or UpSave this month.
