ADVISORY:

OTPs for GSave/DragonFi cash outs are moving to email

We want to make sure you can continue accessing your funds smoothly and securely.

 

Starting July 9, 2026, OTPs for withdrawals from your GSave/DragonFi Save account (on your GCash app/DragonFi app) will be sent to your registered email address instead of via SMS / Viber.

 

To avoid any disruption when cashing out, please make sure your email address registered with CIMB Bank PH is active, accessible, and up to date.

 

Please note that updating your email address in GCash does not automatically update your records with us. These are maintained separately. If your email address in the CIMB Bank PH app is outdated, you may not receive the OTP needed to complete your cash out transaction.

 

To update your email address in the CIMB Bank PH app:

 

  1. Tap Menu > Profile > Email Address
  2. Enter your latest email address
  3. Enter the security code sent to your new email address

 

If you have not yet linked your account to the CIMB Bank PH app, download the app from the App Store, Google Play, or Huawei AppGallery and follow the instructions provided.

 

Please note that some notifications, reminders, advisories, and certain OTPs may continue to be sent via SMS, Viber and/or email. To stay informed and keep your account secure, please ensure that both your mobile number and email address are up to date.

 

For your security, never share your OTP with anyone. CIMB Bank PH representatives will never ask for your OTP through calls, text messages, or emails. We will also never include hyperlinks in our communications.
