Four-time international best mobile app winner CIMB Bank Philippines pushes the envelope in digital banking with the newly-enhanced CIMB mobile app. Thoughtfully redesigned with customers in mind, the next-level mobile app boasts of a fresh new look and improved functionality for an even better banking experience.

CIMB Bank PH is a trailblazer in the local banking scene by being the first to make its accessible products and services available exclusively on its mobile app. This revolutionized the banking industry in the country and helped give millions of Filipinos access to their own bank account – some for the first time – with less barriers to starting a banking relationship. 

 

The CIMB Bank PH mobile app is designed to simplify banking and make it more accessible for a wide range of users, from retail customers to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The new version of the CIMB Bank PH mobile app continues to give the convenience of having all of the customers’ banking needs in one place, now with an upgraded interface and improved functionality. It addresses pain points like complex navigation, slow load times, and limited visibility of features by offering a streamlined interface, quick-action menus, and segment-specific dashboards.

 

The app dashboard, which is the app’s main page, is now more streamlined, more intuitive, and more helpful for customers’ convenience. Important account information can be found front and center, giving customers a real-time snapshot of their financials for enhanced awareness and control, as they can now see the total balances of their deposits, loans, and credits at a glance.

 

The new mobile app now also has a merchant catalogue where customers can get useful updates about promos and special offers, allowing them to enjoy exclusive perks from CIMB partner merchants like Bench and its affiliate brands such as Cotton On, Charles & Keith, The Face Shop, and many more. It is now easier to browse through merchant deals where they can earn rewards and enjoy promos for smarter decision-making on how to use their funds.

 

Continuous updates, including improvements to stability and digital customer experience is a testament to CIMB Bank PH’s commitment to both reliability and innovation. Whether users are saving, spending, paying bills, or tracking financial milestones, the app empowers users to have more control and flexibility over their finances so that they may pursue their life purpose. 

 

Easy access and management of deposit and credit accounts

From the very beginning of the customer journey, the CIMB mobile app already features a convenient account opening experience, allowing potential customers who are 18 years old and above to open an account in as quickly as 10 minutes with just one valid ID and no minimum deposit requirement. 

 

This gives them access to deposit products like UpSave and Fast Plus that yield higher interest than most banks, with base rates of 2.6% and 0.75% per annum (p.a.), respectively. For even bigger returns, customers can also sign up for a MaxSave time deposit account for as low as PHP 5,000, which offers higher interest rates than savings accounts and with flexible terms.  

 

The app also has useful features like the Own My Goals! tracker that helps customers set goals, track their savings, and hit their milestones, for even better control of their financial health.

 

Availing loans is also fast and easy on the new app, now with a dedicated button on the main dashboard to lodge applications. Those interested only need one pay slip to apply for a Personal Loan, while select customers can also be pre-qualified to sign up for REVI Credit, a first-of-its-kind revolving credit line housed in the app. The status of ongoing loan applications gets updated in real time on the app, making it easier to track so customers can stay updated on their finances.

 

Convenience for everyday banking and limited time offers

Aside from enjoying higher interest rates, having a CIMB account also gives customers access to many other products, services, and special offers within the CIMB Bank PH app. 

 

With the CIMB Bank PH app, everyday transactions are just a few taps away. Transferring funds from CIMB accounts to other banks is a breeze with free options to transfer via InstaPay depending on their account type, with up to 10 free transfers per day for CIMB Biz and CIMB Prime customers.  

 

Transfers can also be done using the QR PH-powered CIMB Pay feature on the app, allowing for easier transfers and payments via QR codes. Aside from the convenience of transacting using a QR code, CIMB Bank PH also offers special cashback promos when customers use CIMB Pay. For instance, using CIMB Pay at Bench and other participating Bench affiliate brands can earn a 10% cashback on qualified transactions and 10x Bench loyalty points until October 31, 2025.

 

Customers can also buy mobile load – now from even more networks – or pay bills to more than 60 billers with zero fees using their preferred CIMB deposit or revolving credit account, all within the new mobile app.

 

For safer online transactions, CIMB account holders can also activate their CIMB Virtual Debit Card in the mobile app for free. This allows for more secure online shopping, and can be linked to the CIMB Bank PH deposit account of the user’s choice. Using the CIMB Virtual Debit Card also unlocks exclusive promos, such as the ongoing cashback promo that runs until the end of the year. This offers customers special cashbacks of up to 5% on qualified food, groceries, subscriptions, ride-hailing apps, and e-commerce transactions until the end of the year.

 

Report issues anytime, anywhere

The new mobile app has top-notch fraud detection capabilities for suspicious app activities, so customers can enjoy peace of mind that their hard-earned money is safe. When unauthorized users try to get into customers’ accounts, the first line of defense already comes into play via the use of biometrics, Face ID, and Touch ID. On the backend, CIMB also uses various detection mechanisms and monitors activities to detect and flag potential fraud.

 

In case of any concerns regarding transactions, the Help Center on the CIMB mobile app can be accessed 24/7, allowing customers to reach out to the bank anytime, anywhere. Service requests and inquiries can be lodged directly on the app, organized into specific topics for easier navigation.
